The working principle of Precision Grade Cam Indexer

Goes in this way: It is usually connected to the output turret by an indexing cam installed in the input shaft, and a cam roller embedded radially on the circumferential surface of the output turret, making linear contact with the tapered support ribs of the cam on their corresponding inclined surfaces. When the input shaft rotates, the cam roller rotates the output tower according to the given displacement curve, while rolling along the inclined surface of the rib, thus converting continuous input motion into intermittent output motion. In the area where the rib and cam end face are balanced, the output turret itself does not rotate, achieving static positioning.

Structural composition of Precision Grade Cam Indexer is that,It mainly consists of two parts: a three-dimensional cam and a dividing plate. The three-dimensional cam is the core component, and its contour curve determines the law of indexing motion. The dividing disc is equipped with cam rollers, which cooperate with the cam to achieve motion transmission.

Precision Grade Cam Indexer can be mainly cllasified into arc cam indexers and flat cam indexers. The arc-shaped cam indexer is a transmission device in which the arc-shaped conjugate cam on the input shaft meshes vertically with the indexing wheel on the output shaft without any gap; A planar cam indexer is a transmission device in which the planar conjugate cam on the input shaft meshes parallel with the indexing wheel on the output shaft without clearance.
