Ball Screw Transmission

Ball Screw Transmission is a precision mechanical transmission method that uses balls as the medium. Its core function is to efficiently convert rotational motion into linear motion (or vice versa), and Ball Screw Transmission is widely used in fields such as CNC machine tools, robots, automated production lines, aerospace equipment, etc. that require extremely high transmission accuracy and efficiency.

Ball Screw Transmission consists of four core components: screw shaft, nut, ball and loop mechanism. The surface of the screw shaft is machined with precise spiral raceways, and the inner wall of the nut is equipped with spiral grooves corresponding to the trajectory. The ball serves as a rolling medium to fill the gap between the two, forming a point contact rolling friction pair. When the power source drives the screw or nut to rotate, the ball rolls along the spiral raceway and pushes the nut or screw to make linear motion in the axial direction through rolling friction; The circulation mechanism (such as reverser, circulation tube) guides the ball to return from the end of the raceway to the starting end, forming a closed cycle to ensure continuous transmission without interruption.

Ball Screw Transmission can be divided into inner loop and outer loop according to the loop method, and divided into different standards according to the accuracy level.
