Linear Motion Ball Screw is a mechanical transmission component that efficiently converts rotational motion into precise linear motion. It is widely used in fields such as CNC machine tools, industrial robots, precision instruments, and automated production lines that require extremely high motion accuracy.

 

Linear Motion Ball Screw's core structure consists of four parts: a screw shaft (a cylindrical shaft with precise spiral raceways on the surface), a nut (a sleeve with corresponding spiral grooves on the inner wall), a ball (a rolling medium filled between the raceways and spiral grooves), and a circulation device (a reversing device or pipeline that guides the ball to circulate). When working, when the screw or nut rotates, the ball rolls along the spiral trajectory and pushes the nut or screw to move in a straight line along the axial direction through rolling friction; The circulation device allows the ball to return from the end of the track to the starting point, forming a closed cycle to ensure continuous and stable motion.

 

Compared to traditional sliding screws, Linear Motion Ball Screw's advantages are significant: firstly, high efficiency, with rolling friction replacing sliding friction, achieving a transmission efficiency of over 90% (sliding screws only 20% -40%), significantly reducing energy consumption; The second is high precision. After precision grinding, the positioning accuracy can be controlled at the micrometer level, and the repeated positioning error is extremely small, meeting the requirements of precision feed; The third is low wear and long service life, reducing part wear and tear through rolling contact, and significantly extending service life when combined with a lubrication system; The fourth is high rigidity, which can eliminate axial clearance and improve the load-bearing rigidity of the system through the double nut pre tightening design.

 

Linear Motion Ball Screw can be divided into inner loop (high precision, low noise) and outer loop (simple structure, low cost) according to the loop method, and divided into different standards such as C level and D level according to the accuracy level. When selecting, reference should be made to parameters such as lead (displacement per revolution) and rated dynamic load (bearing capacity).
