IP65 Sealed Linear Motion Module

IP65 Sealed Linear Motion Module is a linear drive device with a high level of protection. Its protection level of IP65 means that it completely prevents dust intrusion (level 6 dustproof) and can withstand low-pressure water spray from any direction (level 5 waterproof). Through integrated sealing design, stable linear motion accuracy can be maintained in complex environments with high dust, humidity, or splashing water, while meeting the requirements of dust prevention and basic waterproofing. IP65 Sealed Linear Motion Module is the core component for industrial automation to cope with harsh working conditions.

Working principle of IP65 Sealed Linear Motion Module

The core is the protection mechanism of "dynamic sealing+structural isolation": the motor drives transmission components such as ball screws or synchronous belts, converts rotational motion into linear motion, and drives the load to translate along the guide rail.

IP65 protection is achieved through a dual design:

1). Fully enclosed isolation: The transmission system (screw, guide rail) is completely enclosed by a sealed housing or retractable protective cover, with only the sliding part reserved for dynamic sealing interfaces;

2). Dynamic sealing technology: The contact area between the slider and the shell adopts multi-layer lip seals (such as nitrile rubber material), which closely adhere to the contact surface as the slider moves, preventing water and dust from entering;

3). Pressure balance design: Some models have built-in micro permeable valves to avoid inhaling pollutants due to temperature changes causing pressure differences inside the module.

Structural composition of IP65 Sealed Linear Motion Module

Transmission unit: Ball screws (or synchronous belts) are commonly used, and the surface of the screw is chrome plated for rust prevention. The integrated design of the nut seat and slider reduces the sealing gap;

Sealing components: including telescopic protective cover (canvas or metal material), shaft end sealing ring, sliding lip sealing element, and O-ring sealing at the joint of the shell;

Guidance system: Install dust-proof and waterproof scraper at the joint between the linear guide and the slider to scrape off water and impurities attached to the surface;

Drive module: Equipped with an IP65 protection level motor, the connection between the motor and the module is sealed with a flange to prevent water from seeping into the shaft end.
