(1) Simple structure. Tubular linear motors do not need to go through an intermediate conversion mechanism to directly generate linear motion, which greatly simplifies the structure, reduces the motion inertia, and greatly improves the dynamic response performance and positioning accuracy; at the same time, it also improves reliability, saves costs, and makes manufacturing and maintenance easier. Its primary and secondary stages can directly become part of the mechanism. This unique combination makes this advantage further reflected.

(2) Suitable for high-speed linear motion. Because there is no centrifugal force constraint, ordinary materials can also reach a higher speed. Moreover, if the gap between the primary and secondary stages is maintained by air cushions or magnetic cushions, there is no mechanical contact during movement, so there is no friction and noise in the moving parts. In this way, the transmission parts do not wear, which can greatly reduce mechanical losses and avoid noise caused by towing cables, steel cables, gears and pulleys, thereby improving overall efficiency.

(3) High primary winding utilization rate. In tubular linear induction motors, the primary winding is pancake-shaped and has no end windings, so the winding utilization rate is high.

(4) No lateral edge effect. The lateral effect refers to the weakening of the magnetic field at the boundary caused by lateral interruption. However, the cylindrical linear motor has no lateral interruption, so the magnetic field is evenly distributed along the circumference.

(5) It is easy to overcome the problem of unilateral magnetic pull. The radial forces cancel each other out, and the problem of unilateral magnetic pull basically does not exist.

(6) It is easy to adjust and control. By adjusting the voltage or frequency, or replacing the secondary material, different speeds and electromagnetic thrusts can be obtained, which is suitable for low-speed reciprocating operation.

(7) It has strong adaptability. The primary core of the linear motor can be sealed with epoxy resin as a whole, which has good corrosion resistance and moisture resistance, and is easy to use in humid, dusty and harmful gas environments; and it can be designed into a variety of structures to meet the needs of different situations.
