Cam Actuated Indexer is a high-precision mechanical indexing device that converts the continuous rotational motion of a motor into precise intermittent indexing motion (i.e., a "rotation pause rotation" cycle) through a cam mechanism. This type of equipment is widely used in automated production lines, packaging machinery, machine tool processing, and other applications that require high rigidity and high repeatability positioning accuracy.

The structure of Cam Actuated Indexer is designed around the mechanical transmission chain of "cam follower". When the motor drives the cam to rotate continuously, the cam profile is divided into two key sections, which respectively achieve the functions of "indexing" and "stopping" The curved part of the cam profile drives the driven part to move, driving the indexing disc (or slider) to complete the indexing action of the preset angle (or distance). The speed and acceleration of the movement are determined by the slope of the cam curve. Rest stage (positioning stage): The circular arc part of the cam profile comes into contact with the driven part, at which point the driven part stops moving, and the indexing plate (or slider) remains stationary, achieving precise positioning.

By designing the ratio of the cam profile (such as the ratio of the working section angle to the stopping section angle), the number of divisions, each division angle, and stopping time can be flexibly controlled to meet the rhythm requirements of different devices.
