1).Coplanar cam: It is usually a disc-shaped planar cam installed on the drive shaft, and its contour curve (including the indexing section and the stationary section) is machined and formed in the same plane. The material is mostly high-strength alloy steel (such as 40Cr), which is strengthened for wear resistance through heat treatment.
2).Passive component: located in the same plane as the cam, including rollers, shift pins or sliders, directly in contact with the cam profile, and driven by the thrust of the cam to move the driven shaft or load (such as turntable, conveyor plate).
When driving shaft drives the coplanar cam to rotate, the "indexing section" of the cam pushes the driven component, causing the load to complete indexing rotation at a preset angle (such as 45 °, 60 °); When the cam enters the "stationary section", the driven component comes into contact with the straight part of the cam profile, and the load remains stationary, waiting for external processes such as assembly and inspection to be completed. The entire motion cycle is completed in the same plane, without the spatial interference problem of cross axis transmission.
