The core of Intermittent Cam Indexer consists of a cam (active component) and an indexing disc/follower (passive component), which achieve motion transmission through precise surface contact

1). Cam: It is usually a rotating component with a special contour curve (such as a curved cam or a flat cam profile), driven by a motor to rotate continuously and uniformly. The contour design determines the motion trajectory and rest time of the driven component.

2). indexing disk/follower: Components in contact with the cam (such as rollers, pins, or grooves) that achieve intermittent motion through the pushing of the cam profile when the cam rotates - when the "working section" of the cam contacts the follower, the dividing disk rotates or moves with the cam motion; When the cam enters the "rest section" (such as the arc section), the driven part remains stationary, achieving precise positioning.

3). Key Features: Through the precise design of the cam profile, the indexing angle, motion speed, acceleration, and rest time of the driven component can be accurately controlled, with minimal impact and high positioning accuracy (usually up to ± 30 "to ± 100") during motion.
